What lives in the waihopai river?

Ever wondered what lies beneath this murky looking river? Well heres the answer!

There is actually quite a lot of life in this river, including : long fin and short fin eel, smelt fish, cockabullies, inanga, giant kokopu, brown trout, black flounders, white bait, and lampreys. Ducks, shags, herons, swallows and sometimes kingfishers feed around these waters.

My bird house.

Yesterday, I made a little bird house (about 5 cm tall)
out of this foamy wood stuff. I glued the sides of it together
with a hot glue gun, and cut the hole with a craft knife thingy.
I put a little hook in the top so now I can hang it up somewhere.

I also made a little bird out of plasticine to go in it.
